How to save a wet phone/ipod/camera?

Ever dropped your phone in the sink, or even worse, the toilet? I have listened stories from my bro being a hero helping gals to pick up mobile phones from the toilet and save it just in time. Remember, if you are quick, you might save your electronic gadgets!

And i received this forward email a couple of times and so i thought to share it here with you guys. For some reason, it might work. I never try it before, if anyone has try it and it works, do leave a comment here yeah. Click on the picture to enlarge.

What about the ordinary ways of saving them?

First thing first, Get it out of the water asap. Or if you are into the case like my bro, Shout for help from manpower out there. The plastic covers on mobile phones are fairly tight, but water can enter the phone over time. The same case goes to ipod.

Next, all you must do is to Remove the battery. This is the most crucial steps, as water and electricity do not mix. Then followed by removing your SIM card. To some people this could be more worth saving than the phone itself.

The next thing to do is to Dry your gadgets. Certainly, you need to remove as much of the water asap. Try remove all the covers and dry it with a vacuum (even on a cool mode would be fine). Some suggested to dry it with a hair dryer. I believed that hair dryer is working on drying the gadgets. However, some claimed that the heat from hair dryer might force moisture further into the small components, eventually causes corrosion to the gadgets. Using a hairdryer might be a temporary solution, but this is lead to component failure inside the gadgets in the end.

Finally, Test you gadget to see whether it is still working or not. If it does not work, try taking it back to any authorized dealers. They might be able to help you out. However, there is no point for you to hide the fact that your gadget has been wet, as there are internal indicators that prove moisture.
